Aus-Steel Sheds Goes Commercial with – Ruralfab

With a market place spiralling down in the domestic scene Aus-Steel continues to grow and develop new and exciting ways to tap other markets that are out there in our huge industry. Over the past twelve months we have continued to grow our business in markets that are more resistant to the economic conditions that we have been experiencing of late. Part of our strategic plan has been to sell into the commercial end of this market which in certain areas is still very buoyant as well as obtaining this business with good profit margins to be had.

Aus-Steel have developed an alliance with a new fabrication supply company developing this arm even further and is now being able to offer a system which we can quote in realistic time frames on these styles of projects. RuralFab is very experienced in fabricating all types of high quality structural steel buildings and will be working with Aus-Steel to help service this side of our market to our Aus-Steel reseller network. Combining this with our own experience and the expertise from the team at RuralFab, we believe that we will be able to offer a high quality product at affordable prices through the development of this business relationship.

As recent as this week another load of fabricated steel has left the Aus-Steel/RuralFab plants heading for Mount Isa to our Aus-Steel Mount Isa Resellers Gerald & Kate. Pictured is the first of the 4 semi trailers that is required to deliver this project.

For the past 18 months Aus-Steel has been actively involved in developing Heavy Duty Roof Only Sun Shelters for Australian State Schools. To date we successfully have completed 12 projects.

Safe shelters for Schools

These sun shelters are custom designed and built for schools with a high consideration placed on student safety. Danger and risk of injury is completely minimised with no sharp or jagged edges on the structure. The sun shelters are typically 15 metre spans with lengths of up to 36 metres. The typical heights of the shelters are 6 metres. They are built from high quality, fully galvanised zinc alum materials supplied by Bluescope Steel.

Our most recent project in this series is the Dingo State School as pictured below.

The next project to be completed is the Jericho State School.
